Bachelor of Science in Information Engineering at University of Padova, Italy (2005). Summa cum laude with a thesis on "Predictive Control Theory", under the supervision of prof. Sandro Zampieri.

Master of Science in Automation Engineering at University of Padova, Italy (2007). Summa cum laude with a thesis on “Output Feedback Adaptive Control of Distributed Parameter Systems”, under the supervision of prof. Alessandro Beghi (Univ. of Padova, Italy) and prof. Miroslav Krstić (UC San Diego, CA). (see Publications).

Relevant experiences

I took part to an exchange program with University of California while preparing my Master Degree, spending the academic year 2006 / 07 at UC San Diego.

In 2001 I attended an internship at the INFN laboratories of Legnaro, taking part in the publication of the laboratories website and following their research activities.

I am a student member of IEEE since 2004. In the academic years 2004/05 and 2005/06 I was the secretary of the local Student Branch of Padova, organizing a visit to the Student Branch of Leuven (Belgium) and to the Interuniversity MicroElectronic Center (IMEC) and leading the "Best Design" winning team at the First IEEE Robotic Contest of Region 8 (Europe, Middle East and Asia).

Work experiences

In 2006 I completed a project for the simulation of high-power HF circuits for Stalam s.p.a., an Italian producer of radio-frequency dryers.

In 2007 I design and implemented a predictive control algorithm for permanent magnet synchronous motors at the Electric Drives laboratory of Dipartimento di Tecnica e Gestione dei Sistemi Industriali of University of Padova (see Publications).
